Hello Mark,
Today's lesson brought a smile with the phrase, il mio bagalio e` stato rubato.
In English, my familiarity with the word rubato deals with musical terms. Now every time I come upon the term in music, I will certainly know that it literally means 'stolen time'. This of course started me thinking about all the other Italian words that come up in music, like, staccato, legato, lontano, allegro, moderato, etc.... and many more.
Lessons are great!
