Radio Lingua - new term begins!

This weekend sees the launch of new units in Coffee Break Spanish (lesson 11), Coffee Break French (lesson 41) and Show Time Spanish (lesson 11). In addition to this new content, Walk, Talk and Learn French episode 1 was published yesterday.

Announcing a new French video podcast from Radio Lingua

We're delighted to announce a brand new show from Radio Lingua - Walk, Talk and Learn French. This podcast introduces French grammar as you've never seen it before. The podcast is aimed at intermediate learners of French and covers a variety of grammar and vocabulary topics. 

You can visit the Walk, Talk and Learn website, and subscribe to the podcast for free in iTunes (rss feed here). The pilot episode launches today, 9th January, and episode one will be made available next Friday, 16th January.

One Minute French Premium edition now available

We're delighted to announce the availability of the Premium version of One Minute French. This premium version includes the following elements: the lesson guide lists all the words and phrases taught in the series; the enhanced podcasts allow listeners to view the words and phrases on iPod screens and computers using synchronised flashcards; the quick quiz podcast allows listeners to test their understanding of the material covered in the course; and the One Minute French: Take-Off Time show provides a full review of all the language in a handy audio file, ready to take on board your flight!

Coffee Break French news

We've been running a bit behind schedule with Coffee Break French and until today we've not really been in a position to explain what's going on. Anna has actually been unwell and has been in hospital. She's now on the mend and is looking forward to getting back into recording the future episodes. 

As we explained in the announcement which went into the feed today, we've decided to start back with episode 41 in January 2009. We really weren't sure about things until the past couple of days, and Anna wanted to record a message to everyone to explain things. She's not quite ready to start recording full episodes, but will be soon.

For premium subscribers, we're suggesting that you cancel your subscriptions - we ultimately want everyone to move over to our new system anyway and this will be fully ready in January. There will be further content in the premium feed between now and then to make up for the lack of new materials. 

We'd like to apologise for the lack of information about Coffee Break French in recent weeks, but it's been a bit difficult to know exactly what to say about when we'd be able to start up again. Now that Anna is on the mend we're delighted to be able to give further details and would like to thank all our listeners for their patience and understanding.

Coffee Break French Level 1 Complete now available

We're delighted to announce the availability of the premium materials for units 1-4 of our course. Each unit is available individually in a "Basic" or "VIP" format. The Basic Season Pass provides pdf lesson guides for each programme. The VIP Season Pass includes the pdf lesson guides, enhanced podcasts and bonus listening materials for each episode.

Announcing six new One Minute Languages

In celebration of the European Day of Languages we're delighted to announce six new podcasts in the One Minute languages series. You can now learn Catalan (web | iTunes), Danish (web | iTunes), French (web | iTunes), Japanese (web | iTunes), Mandarin (web | iTunes) and Romanian (web | iTunes) in a matter of minutes with our weekly episodes. And if you're aiming to be a real polyglot then you can tune in every day to a new language (with one day off to review everthing you've learned!) Catalan begins on Friday 26th September, Romanian on Saturday 27th, Mandarin on Monday 29th, Danish on Tuesday 30th, Japanese on Wednesday 1st October and French on Thursday 2nd.

Festive French Fun from Paris

We're just back from Paris where we spent three days filming new episodes of the video extra for Coffee Break French. We'll be publishing the video extras for lessons 6-9 in the coming weeks, along with the new episodes for lesson 11 onwards. We were also filming for our new French video podcast, Walk, Talk and Learn French.
