Dvdboxfog01_2Dvdboxomlsix_2

Two new products have been added to the Radio Lingua store today. We're currently publishing A Flavour of German in fortnightly episodes, but if you can't wait until mid-September to get access to the whole series, purchase our Season Pass now, complete with the pdf lesson guide featuring additional examples of the phrases we cover in each lesson.

We've also released a pack of all six One Minute Languages courses: if you're an aspiring omniglot you can purchase all ten lessons of One Minute German, Irish, Luxembourgish, Norwegian, Polish and Russian for a one-off cost of £14.00. The courses each come with a pdf lesson guide and enhanced podcast episodes which allow you to view the words and phrases on your computer or iPod screen as you listen. Purchase the One Minute Languages Six-pack in our store.

For both these items, try using discount code first25 and see if you're among the first 25 buyers!

New Radio Lingua Store now available

We're rather tentatively launching our new Radio Lingua Store and new Coffee Break Spanish website tonight. After many weeks of work we're now finally able to release the entire back catalogue of Coffee Break Spanish into the store. We receive emails every day from listeners who would like to buy early episodes of Coffee Break Spanish premium materials, or from listeners who prefer not to use Paypal. Our new store offers "Season Passes" for each unit (lessons 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, etc.) and these are available either as basic passes (pdf only) or as VIP passes which include all the bonus materials for each episode.

The pricing is such that it's better value to purchase multiple passes at the one time, but you also receive a special coupon code for future discounts on all purchases when you sign up for any of our VIP passes. Our new store can accept credit and debit cards via Paypal and Google Checkout, but please note that it's no longer necessary to have a Paypal account to buy our premium materials! We're also delighted that through our new system you can buy the products and immediately access the download page (using the Season Pass option only), meaning you're no longer relying on a human being to process your membership!

The long-awaited update of the Coffee Break Spanish site was launched tonight and I'm hoping that it will make everything much clearer for our users. The previous CBS site was launched way back in October 2006 and it has been in need of an update for a while. The new site brings CBS in line with Coffee Break French. Now I've just got the MDPI and MDPG sites to rebrand!

There will undoubtedly be teething troubles with the new store, so I ask that you be a little patient if there are any problems. We have tested the store but we'll need to see how it copes with international credit cards and different systems, etc. Here's hoping...!

Premium password problems - update 2

It seems that the problems have been sorted out for Coffee Break Spanish premium members, but there still appears to be problems for MDP German and MDP Italian members. We're trying to sort this out - it's likely to be this evening before we can post another update, but we're working on it. Apologies again to our listeners.

Premium password problems - update

We've been working on this problem and we're fairly certain that we've got it sorted. Things are working fine for us and we're also receiving feedback from listeners saying that things seem to be back to normal. We'll obviously be keeping an eye on things over the next couple of days but in the meantime we're keen to hear from listeners if you're continuing to have problems.

Please note that updates to the podcasts and new activations have been put on hold while we sort out the premium feed. We'll be getting things back to normal over the next 24 hours.

Premium password problems

As you may be aware we've been experiencing problems with our premium content server over the past 48 hours. It's likely that everyone who has access to the premium content is experiencing problems when updating iTunes or when trying to access the premium members' page. The most likely scenario is that the server accepts your username but it rejects your password and keeps asking you for a password. This problem also means that we can't access the premium members' database to create new accounts, and this is delaying new activations for members who have just joined.

We are looking into the problem and trying to solve it: our database guru is working on it at the moment and I'll post updates on the Radio Lingua site both via twitter updates and here on the site itself.

As you probably know, the problem couldn't have come at a worse time. Yesterday we were in Paris launching Coffee Break French and we had limited access to the web - and indeed to the rest of the team. I returned a day early in order to try to get on top of this problem.

Our advice to you is:

1. Check the Radio Lingua blog regularly for the latest information:
http://www.radiolingua.com/blog/index.html

2. Don't start to think up alternative passwords or try different things thinking you've forgotten your password. When the problem is fixed your original password will work as expected. It's best not to change this and inadvertently forget your correct password.

Please accept our apologies for this problem. We're doing our best to resolve the issue and will be back with a full service as quickly as possible.
