If you've been following My Daily Phrase Italian you may be interested in a new service from the Radio Lingua Network using Twitter. Twitter is a social networking tool which allows friends to keep in touch with each other via their computers or their mobile phones. We've decided to take this technology and use it to give you the opportunity to keep your mind ticking over with what you've learned on our course. More Italian content from Radio Lingua?

I've had hundreds of emails requesting a second stage of MDP Italian and we're delighted that you've enjoyed using this podcast to such an extent. I have to say that there are no immediate plans to develop a second stage immediately, but this may be something we would consider later in the year. In the meantime, would other Italian language content be of interest? Here are some ideas:

• Italian grammar "chunks" - perhaps with some exercises
• Italian vocbulary builder
• Italian verbs: building linguistic confidence through understanding the bones of the language

We don't have easy access to native speakers for recording purposes, but if you can give us some feedback in the meantime then it will help the longer term planning. Your thoughts are appreciated!

All premium materials now updated

I'm delighted to report that all the premium materials are now available, including the pdf guides and bonus podcasts for weeks 17-20 and all enhanced podcasts. While working through the podcasts I noticed that there were slight problems with lesson 93 enhanced (spelling mistake) and lesson 95 (truncated audio). I've replaced the files on the server. These are listed as "replacements" in the podcast feed.

Apologies to everyone for the delay with these materials. I hope that you enjoy using them and that the delay hasn't spoiled your overall impression of our course.

MDP Italian in the top 10 US podcasts!

Mamma mia! I've just discovered that My Daily Phrase Italian has just made it into the top 10 overall podcasts in the US. It's currently at no.9 as you can see from the image, not far behind our flagship podcast Coffee Break Spanish. Mille grazie to all our listeners and we really hope you're enjoying listening to the show, learning "step by step, day by day, phrase by phrase"!

Premium Membership version launches!

We're delighted to announce that the Premium Membership version of MyDailyPhrase Italian launches today. The Premium Membership features daily pdf guides which explain the language covered in each lesson in much more detail and help you learn to read and write Italian as well as speak it. Also featured in the Premium Membership is a weekly review podcast, published on Sundays, which will help you consolidate your learning and features additional vocabulary also covered on the pdf guides. The overall cost for the 5-month programme is a one-off payment of £25 GBP (approximately $48 USD). For a special introductory period this is reduced to £20. Please note that this is a one-off payment: regardless of when you join the course you'll only ever pay one payment to Radio Lingua for access to all 100 pdf guides and 20 weekly review podcasts.

By way of explanation we've included the pdf guides for lessons 1-5 and the first weekly review podcast in the main feed. Premium Subscribers will subscribe to a special feed which will include all the items. Find out more by visiting our Membership dashboard.
