Keep up your Italian skills via Twitter

TwitterlearnsquareIf you've been following My Daily Phrase Italian you may be interested in a new service from the Radio Lingua Network using Twitter. Twitter is a social networking tool which allows friends to keep in touch with each other via their computers or their mobile phones. We've decided to take this technology and use it to give you the opportunity to keep your mind ticking over with what you've learned on our course. Daily 'quiz-tweets' will test you on how much you remember of the phrases you've learned. Find out more on our new site twitterlearn.com

More Italian content from Radio Lingua?

I've had hundreds of emails requesting a second stage of MDP Italian and we're delighted that you've enjoyed using this podcast to such an extent. I have to say that there are no immediate plans to develop a second stage immediately, but this may be something we would consider later in the year. In the meantime, would other Italian language content be of interest? Here are some ideas:

• Italian grammar "chunks" - perhaps with some exercises
• Italian vocbulary builder
• Italian verbs: building linguistic confidence through understanding the bones of the language

We don't have easy access to native speakers for recording purposes, but if you can give us some feedback in the meantime then it will help the longer term planning. Your thoughts are appreciated!

All premium materials now updated

I'm delighted to report that all the premium materials are now available, including the pdf guides and bonus podcasts for weeks 17-20 and all enhanced podcasts. While working through the podcasts I noticed that there were slight problems with lesson 93 enhanced (spelling mistake) and lesson 95 (truncated audio). I've replaced the files on the server. These are listed as "replacements" in the podcast feed.

Apologies to everyone for the delay with these materials. I hope that you enjoy using them and that the delay hasn't spoiled your overall impression of our course.

Allora, è finito!

Well, that's My Daily Phrase Italian finished for just now. How did you find it? Do you feel that you've learned lots? Give us some feedback here and let us know what you thought.

For Premium Subscribers, there are still a few bonus items that you will be receiving over the next week.

I've had many emails about whether we're going to be going on with a second level of the course. At the moment we don't have plans to do this, but maybe after the summer I could be convinced... In the meantime check out our German programme and our flagship Coffee Break Spanish podcast. Coffee Break French coming in September!

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their enthusiasm about this programme and to say to you all in bocca al lupo for your forthcoming trips to Italy! If you do use your Italian while travelling, remember to let us know how you got on!

"Out of the office"

As intimated on a previous post, we're unfortunately not going to be available until week beginning Monday 11th June. I'm very heavily involved in a major event taking place on Sunday 10th with my day job and I have to dedicate all my time to this over the next week.

The "automated" side of things should continue, ie. MDP German and MDP Italian daily podcasts will continue, but it's unlikely that episode 30 of CBS will be published until next Monday. Note that this won't affect unit 4 which is due to start on 25th June, as planned.

The "manual" side of things will probably be affected. I'll do my best to continue to activate new signups, but any other support emails or anything like that will unfortunately not be dealt with until next week.

I can only apologise for this, but I have to concentrate on my day job commitments and every spare moment will be taken up on the event we're planning.

Thanks for your understanding and your patience.

Mark
